Lots.

Think five figures. Minimum.

It''s primarily a toolset designed for high-end studios who want to integrate their development processes and reduce the need for custom tools. Unless you have a large team of developers, it''s unlikely you''ll get any value from it.

The middleware itself, such as Renderware Graphics, Renderware Audio, etc., may be worth investigating though. They used to do licenses for universities and students, but I''ve no idea if that''s still the case.

My university has a license for MathEngine. Is that part of RenderWare now?

Don''t publishers help you fund your game?
Unless your professional, don''t bother. it will be very expensive.

- no.

Not unless you have a platinum title or two gold titles. Otherwise you code it to completion or very near completion and pitch it to them =]
