I do serval small programs of basic DDraw and know how it works. Should I jump to learn D3D now? And is D3D can do everything that DDraw does?

Yes, D3D can do everything that DDraw can do. If you decide to go to D3D, make sure you get the latest SDK. DX 9 is much easier than previous versions.

If your linear Algebra and Trigonometry skills are good then, yes. Otherwise learn those first then do 3D.
