i am doing a simulation program. The program at first required user to select a few point( that will form a path) from the plan view of a building. After that the program will transform the building into front view and perform a walk through according to the path (the point that user enter just now). I know how to do collision detection but the problem is when i know the path is blocking by a wall i need to find a new path so that it can go to the next point. Can anyone give me some idea to do that or any website to find the related algorithme. Thanks in Advance.

You can use Dijksta''s algorithm to find shortest path trough a graf.

This is about 10% of the answer for all but the simplest of pathfinding systems. There''s nothing wrong with simplicity, though.
