I''m just curious as how selling stuff on-line works. How do they pay for it? How do you get the money? I''ve never really bought anything over the net, but as far as I know you give them your credit card number. Is that safe? My next set of questions is as follows: Are there progrms you can buy and upload to help you keep track of everything? If so, which ones are good, how much do they cost, and how reliable are they? Just a few newbie questions, thanks in advance if you answer! ............ Guardian Angel Interactive

Companies like Kagi (http://www.kagi.com) and DigiBuy (http://www.digibuy.com) and others make handling payments from users/players rather easy. They pay the authors once a month, generally.

Most of the software that exists to "help" shareware authors track registrations sucks. In fact, it tends to Really Suck.

I track everything using Excel spreadsheets that I created as I learned what it was I needed to track (don''t *even* think you have a clue what you''ll need to track until you''ve been doing it a while), and QuickBooks.

It''s not as difficult as it might seem. If you can balance a checkbook, you''ve already mastered the basic skills needed.
