ScreenSaver - Idle processing

I want to write a screen saver, and I want to make my own message loop so I can make the "OnIdle" call. The problem is after using #include <scrnsave.h>, you only have to write a few functions, but the message loop is done for you. How do I do this? Do I have to #exclude <scrnsave.h>?
