Directx File Export Problem...
I have tried the plugin available at effectware.com and polytrans to output my 3ds max models to directx file format.
both of them suck up in one way or the other.
i guess i have wasted my precious bucks on buying PolyTrans cuz it SUX.
Polytrans does not export Hierarchical Link Data while the plugin at Effectware.com gives it a pitch of 90degs and exports it.
Conv3ds-Forget about it!
is there any other better plugin available??
Please let me know if u r using any other program.
Please help,
thnx
if any body has a plug it would be great if u could e-mail it to -

That''s the best one I''ve found....actually it''s the only plugin I''ve found. It''s pretty bad just because it rotates the object.

It''s not a plugin, but it can convert from 3ds to x file format: conv3ds is included in the DirectX 7 SDK. However, i had some problems with it. 3Dto3D works better for me.
