ODBC for Vb .net

Recommended Posts

What you''re looking for is called ADO or ADO.NET (ADO stands for Active Data Objects). You should be able to find info on this in the online documentation that comes with Visual Studio .NET.

To keep it short and sweet, to create a connection, you use your toolbox and there is a data control there. Drop that control on to your form and you will get a wizard that will help you get connected. PS - use MS Jet 4.0 not OLE for ODBC driver (you''ll know what I mean when you come to it.)

All of the information on how to read and write records etc will be in the documentation.

PS - just curious why you''re posting this at a game dev website?
