That's a very neat system there, stodge. I was wondering which XML parser (if any) you use to interpret the scripts?

An XML GUI would be very useful tool...

My opinion is a recombination and regurgitation of the opinions of those around me. I bring nothing new to the table, and as such, can be safely ignored.[ Useful things - Firefox | GLee | Boost | DevIL ]

I use TinyXML.

I also wanted to use something like XML. Do you mind I''ll try it with what you got?

BTW, I''m currently working on that GUI, so see many useful changes in it soon, ala siseable borders for any element, self-controlled elements etc.

Thanks.

Go ahead.

I''m considering open sourcing the engine or starting from scratch with an open source engine to use Python instead of Lua. But I''m not sure yet.

Anyway, this method is the cleanest I could think of for implementing different GUIs, unless anyone has some better ideas.

Use GLUI or one of the many other already-written GL UI packages.
my gui will feature concave polygon controls/menus with correct concave polygon mouse hit detection + background images and border images
i hate these blocky menus everythings square
