Hiya, I have written a sort of console output screen derived from the MFC CFrameWnd. It prints text OK but I''d like to be able to select and copy this text. I imagine you could to this by identifying mouse drags, mapping them to sections of text etc but thought there would have to be some support in MFC for doing this automatically. Can anyone point me to the right base class or a reference? TIA ...

Here is an incomplete example, but you should be able to put together a working solution.

-----
// Copy
TCHAR sData = "Example of copy via OLE.";
HANDLE cbData = ::GlobalAlloc(GMEM_MOVEABLE, sData.size() + 1);
PTSTR pData = static_cast(::GlobalLock(cbData));
_tcscpy(pData, sData.data());
::GlobalUnlock(cbData);
COleDataSource *pODS = new COleDataSource;
pODS->CacheGlobalData(CF_TEXT, cbData);
pODS->SetClipboard();
