I was wondering if anyone knows of an Open Source Equivalent to SonicFoundry SoundForge? Thanks!

Jeskola Buzz is pretty cool, although I don''t think it''s Open Source it is free.

But the ultimate in free (and Open Source) sound synthesis that I have come across is C Sound, I would describe it as more of a programming language than an application so it''s pretty challenging to get to grips with.

You might also want to check out some of the audio applications at SourceForge.
