Translating objects from object space to worldspace

Hello, I''ve been trying to sort out some collision detection problems and I figured that part of it comes from object vertices not being properly moved into world space. I''m not sure if glTranslatef() will do the trick (I tried this and things were scattered all over the place), does anyone have a solution?

gltranslate wont do anything to the vertices in your array or whereever you store them, it will just change the modelview matrix. for collision detection you will have to do the math yourself im afraid.
