I was just wondering how one would become familiar with the types of processes involved with embedded c/c++ game programming?

Look for it online. Browse the various links. Perhaps download the Embedded Visual Tools from Microsoft if you''re interested in Pocket PC. Get hold of SDKs for the platform(s) you''re interested in. You have to do a little research to narrow down the area you want because it''s gonna be very different developing for a mobile phone in cut-down Java compared to writing strategy apps in MFC for a Pocket PC, for example.
