Collision detection - HELP

Does anyone know of a tutorial or simple source code for 3d collision detection for c++ with directx, cuz im totally lost? THX, JAP

I know Sams Teach Yourself DirectX in 24 hours has a 3D collision detection chapter, I know you can download the E-book for that, but I''m not sure where.
But all it really does (and you might too) is make a 3D rectangle for each mesh and compare each one with another. If they are touching, then handle it. But I''m not sure where to find a tutorial.
