Please help me: MSVC++ (+) Directx=:(

I keep getting this error: c:\DXSDK\LIB\ddraw.lib : fatal error LNK1106: invalid file or disk full: cannot seek to 0x3b16078a when i try to link ddraw.lib. Im trying to make a simple app. plz help

did you linked the library files?
if you didnt do that, so go to TOOLS->OPTIONS->DIRECTORIES
and then link the library of the "include" and the "lib" from the SKD.
AND, the most important thing, is pushing the librarys up, to the toppest.

What version of MSVC++ are you using? If it''s version 5, you need at least Service Pack 3 to use DirectX.

I think I did the above right. Anyway, I installed my (ugh) introductory version of MSVC++ 6.0. I WAS using 5.0, so that''s why it wasn''t working. But I had the pro version of 5.0, so do I need to buy the service pack, or can I download it. Or, do I legally need to buy it, so where can I download it

Would I download it from somewhere? Just saying they are free is kinda vague.

Search around for them on MSDN or microsoft.com, they should be there. http://msdn.microsoft.com
