oK guYs i haVe one questionay here: when i get a handle to the first file in a given directory with FindFirstFile is the file always drive exit(".") when i''m doing this: FindFirstFile("somepathname\\*.*",&file_data); i believe if we pass *.* we will always get the drive exit as first file but i''m not sure.Please help! "You losers better learn...NOONE CONTROLS OUR GOD DAMN LIFE!!!" - MANOWAR

Not always will you get the drive exit "." ... to see for yourself try "C:\\*.*"

Yeah i know for that but i''m asking if it exists will it be the first file.

If fail to the the problem... if you get ''.'' or ''..'' simply use FindNextFile until you get an actual file...
