crossplatform C++ sockets library

I haven't tried it myself but you may give a look to SDL_net. It works on Windows, Linux, BSD, MacOS, BeOS and more. It seems pretty low level, mostly a wrapper put above Win/Berkley sockets to ensure cross compatibility.

EDIT : Moreover, it's under the LGPGL licence so it's open source and free, but you can use it for commercial/closed source projects.
