compiling errors

Everytime I try to build a DirectX 9 application, I get these following errors: capplication.obj : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol __imp__InitCommonControls@0 LIBCD.lib(crt0.obj) : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol _main Debug/First Project.exe : fatal error LNK1120: 2 unresolved externals Can anybody help me out.

Make sure you have all the libs you need specified for your linker. Try going to Project->Settings->Link and adding libcd.lib to the "Object/Library Modules" line. On that view, make sure that you do this for both the Debug and Release Builds where it says "Settings For" up on the left.

if libcd.lib doesn''t work, then you need to figure out what include.h you are using for which you don''t have the library specified in the Link->Object/Library Modules line.
