Ok, I am about to finish Teach Yourself C++ in 21 days, and I am itching to learn OpenGL. Am I ready to start learning it? Or is there another book I should invest some time into before I start delving into OpenGL? PS: I have seen this post on a here a few times, but not really in my situation. Thanks for putting up with me and answering it.

get yourself the glut library (does all the dirty win32 windows intialisations for you, among other stuff), go to the nehe opengl website, and buy the opengl red book (OpenGL programing guide). Or buy "OpenGL Game Programming".

if your using windows forget glut and learn the windows api
all you need to learn is how to create a window and process msgs

Im using windows, but don''t I need to download something to give me all the OpenGL libraries?

Well, OpenGL certainly isn''t part of the standard library, but your compiler probably already has the necessary files.
