Our work is near the finish line. the file is ** Removing the link temporarily.. [7/20] ** The controls are mouse for steering w/s, shift+w/s for speed. a/d for strafing 1,2,3 for weapons change. T(tank),M(sam),V(van),H(helicopter) to make units. We have not yet prepared an English homepage. Hopefully they'll appear soon accordingly with our initial release of the game. (due in late July) I appreciate any inputs through my e-mail.. If you remember rescue raiders (in Apple) or Armor Alley (in MS-DOS), I bet it's worth a look even though it's not finished yet. * Geforce 3 or radeon 9000 is required to run smoothly. Some bugs and compatibility issues are not yet dealt with. [edited by - laksoo on July 20, 2003 4:08:03 AM]

Good job man. I remember playing Armored Alley on a 286. Great game. Make some special effects though, like explosions.
Currently we're working on explosion effects..

Anyway, we're in the most steep curve ever since we started this work, which is "putting them all together and provide a solid gameplay."

It has turn out to be a lot harder than we thought, but we're all working very hard to manage a good gameplay.

It froze my computer solid displaying a "Loading terrain" message (i think). I couldn''t even kill it with the task manager and had to reset!!

thanks for your input matibee..

I haven't got the exact clue why it forced your system to freeze.
But I've found a problem that may cause a freeze.

I'm using a hard-wired way to detect the refresh rate in full screen mode, because I haven't found any other elegant method to find the exact refresh rate.
(DirectX tells 60hz in my system, while I'm in 85hz! huh!!)

So I count how many times I can flip for a second to get the real refresh rate.

But if a display adapter is in "force vsync off" state, my method fails completely because it'll flip infinite times.

I've fixed this problem, but I'm afraid I can't patch the file it until two days later.. because there're some half-done changes right now.

Are you sure your at 85? Windows XP''s default set refresh rate option doesn''t actaully do anything as far as I know.
A few problems:
1- I suck at it.
2- When you hit ''F'' it crashes.
3- When somebody (the computer) wins, it pops a message box, giving the illusion of the game crashing. Don''t.
---------------
About the refresh rates, my monitor is surely at 85hz (checked with on-screen-display menu). But the directX says 75hz or 60hz.
Maybe it's because I'm running PowerStrip to force refreshes?..

Anyway, thanks for all your inputs.. helped finding some bugs..

I think it's time to close ourselves, then show up later with complete program.
Sorry I've bothered people with incomplete program ^^.
I'll temporarily remove the link from the original post.
