3DSMax Plugins
I have obtained a legal copy of 3DStudio Max 5.0, and was wondering how i could code a number of plugins. One that i could add special objects into my level (lights, enemies, weapons, items), and one that i could code the output level in my format. How would i go about doing this?

Install the 3DS Max SDK that comes on the 3DS Max CD.
It sounds like you want to add helper/dummy object plugins and export your scenes with an exporter plugin. There''s lots of sample source code in the SDK for almost all plugin types.
Also visit sparks.discreet.com for the official developers message board, direct programming support. Your reseller should also be able to guide you through some of the support options available too.
For writing exporters you can make life easier by building on top of Pierre Terdiman''s Flexporter: http://www.codercorner.com/Flexporter.htm
