hello all, i started coding with directx this week and i have a newbie question about it. in my program theres a menu option that switches to fullscreen mode (and the user can switch back to windowed mode by pressing esc while on fullscreen mode). here''s what the program do to switch to fullscreen mode: SetMenu (hWnd, NULL); SetWindowLong (hWnd, GWL_STYLE, WS_POPUP | WS_VISIBLE); dxDisplay->SetCooperativeLevel (hWnd, DDSCL_FULLSCREEN | DDSCL_EXCLUSIVE | DDSCL_ALLOWREBOOT); dxDisplay->SetDisplayMode (640, 480, 16, 0, 0); fullscreen = TRUE; my question is: how do i switch back to windowed mode (and how do i put the menu back on)? thanks

I think there are two articles about that here on gamedev

http://www.gamedev.net/reference/articles/article960.asp
http://www.gamedev.net/reference/articles/article1034.asp

and for the menu check the SetMenu() function

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/winui/winui/windowsuserinterface/resources/menus/menureference/menufunctions/setmenu.asp

EDIT : dont know how to make a link on this forum
