collision detection

Can anybody point me to a good tutorial on pixel perfect collisoin (2d) in DirectX, C++, MSVC 6.0 ? Or explain on the board how it is done (with source code if possible) I understand bounding box perfectly fine.....but it isn''t accurate enough for my needs.........
