3 months in development so far, and in early stages. The engine will be open source throughout its development and the subsequent game development (which will be closed source). Features: http://serpent.sourceforge.net/overview.php Among the features it has is killer volumetric fog that is actually lit by the scene lights (I posted here about the algorithm before). There are demos here, but unfortunately they don't do any justice as they're just testing specific things I've working on the past few days: http://serpent.sourceforge.net/downloads/ One should be able to load up a massive world into it and the engine would do its thing. And here's the source code, objects, textures, and original 3DSmax scene files: http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/serpent/Serpent.zip?download The CVS repository will always contain the latest code and demos. There isn't any documentation yet... I loathe writing documentation. I'll get around to it soon now that it's GPLed though. [edited by - Kura on July 26, 2003 3:58:59 AM]
