C# performance Vs. Native
How fast is C#? Or more precisely, how fast is CLR? I understand that it uses a JIT compiler; how well does this stack up against Java?
Is anyone of the opinion that C# can be used for real commercial games yet?
EDIT: I realize that the performance of the JIT compiler will vary from one implementation to the next, but perhaps the structure of the virtual machine makes it more suitable?

Doom II built in C++ .NET was 15% slower then the version built in C. That''s really the only thing we have to measure the speed of .NET. Take it with a grain of salt.
