Screensavers and Visual C++ 6.0 Link errors

Recommended Posts

I am making a screensaver, and of course I got a lot of link errors. I was able to narrow it down to just two link errors, but I can''t figure out what .lib file I need to link in order for this to work. Rather than going on further, here''s the errors: scrnsave.lib(scrnsave.obj) : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol __SEH_epilog scrnsave.lib(scrnsave.obj) : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol __SEH_prolog SEH if I recall correctly is an method of error handling for C#...any ideas for what I need to do to fix it?

Searched your error string on google..

Found this over at codeguru

Add Sehprolg.obj to your link line. Should work.

Edit: Forgot to mention that sehprolog.obj comes in the Platform SDK. I didn't find it in the lib directory of VS.NET 2003

Strange, I Googled it and didn't find much...anyway, fortunatly I have the platform SDK, and it was in my lib folder already, but when I added it, it gave the error:

LINK : fatal error LNK1104: cannot open file "sehprolog.obj"

Any ideas?

Edit: HA! Your edit was a typo, and thats the one I remembered...it's sehprolg.obj...and that worked fine. Thanks!
