DDraw Fading the Screen

I tried using the code on this site to do fade the screen with DirectDraw. It didn''t work. So i added in a line so one time per loop it would flip the backbuffer to the screen. Now it kind of works. It blinks the screen a few times, dark to light, but it doensn''t work the way it is supposed to. Does anyone know how to fix this or what i might be doing wrong???? Also does anyone know what happened the the Game Programming MegaSite it used to be at http://www.perplexed.com/GPMega/ but it''s not there anymore. t2sherm ô¿ô
