3ds max problem
I'm fairly new to modelling and noticed when my schools comp lab had 3dsmax I'd give it a try, especially for creating stuff for my game. Anyways, my first project was a table and I got it looking how I want to, the only problem is that the legs containg 2206 faces a piece. That just seems kind of high and I was wondering if ya'll could think of a way to help me reduce it. I've tried the optimize modifier except it couldn't get rid of any of the faces. For the legs I pretty much created a spline for half the leg, did a cross section to fill in the spline, surfaced, extruded and mirrored. I got some pics for ya to look at it too. Its mainly at the bottom and top. I was wondering if there was a way to combine faces or something which may help out. Thanks.

How many vertical segments does the leg's extrusion have? It only needs to be 1.
How appropriate. You fight like a cow.

I can''t seem to get the links to your pics working :/ but yeah... the best way to do it would be to go back in the modifier stack to the surface modifier... and reduce the iterations...
