I''ve been trying to find out how to do this for a while now but I''ve hence given up trying on my own. What I''m trying to work out how to do is set windows into suspend, standby and turn the monitor on and off from code. I''m positive it can be done, I just have no idea how. Can anybody help? Adrian

SetActivePwrScheme()
SetSystemPowerState()
SetSuspendState()
SetSystemPowerState()

Or make your own [fake] WM_POWERBROADCAST

[BTW:MSDN tends to be useful for these kinda things...]
