Rotate and move objects?

Hey, Objects in games are they rotated and translated through matrix calculations (a la glTranslate and glRotate) or is there a smart function to alter the vertices so they have the positions?

Just do a few matrix multiplications. You can use quaternions for rotations but if you are just starting and aren''t a math genious I wouldn''t recommend them. Order of matrices:

rotation (to rotate object around its center)

If you want to rotate the object around a point you can do a translation and then a rotation.
