DIsplaying graphics question...

I''m still working on getting graphics displayed in DX, but i''m wondering if it is more efficent to use .x files from a 3d modeler or if i should use the DX poly primitives? also where do i get a DX exporter for Maya?

Using .X files is a MUCH better idea if you are using models (like cars, buildings, people, whatever.) Trying to render those would be very difficult with the DrawPolygon routines. However, sometimes DrawPolygon can be useful if you are trying to render something dynamic, like terrain or billboarding (of course most use point sprites anyways.)
