A Practical Guide to Indie Game Marketing, by Joel Dreskin Marketing is an essential but too frequently overlooked or minimized component of the release plan for indie games. A Practical Guide to Indie Game Marketing provides you with the tools needed to build visibility and sell your indie games. With special focus on those developers with small budgets and limited staff and resources, this book is packed with tangible recommendations and techniques that you can put to use immediately. As a seasoned professional of the indie game arena, author Joel Dreskin gives you insight into practical, real-world experiences of marketing numerous successful games and also provides stories of the failures. It connects architecture and level design in different ways that address the practical elements of how designers construct space and the experiential elements of how and why humans interact with this space. What Landfish has done to this forum

32 posts in this topic

You know, back in December, this was just a little forum, and there was only an occasional post. Now people are posting lots of new messages on it. Landfish has really infested this place (like the Zerg ). Just a passing thought. - DarkMage139 "Real game developers don't change the rules. Real game developers don't break the rules. I would love to take credit for that, but I''m not making all these posts by myself, right? Thanks for the ego-rub, though.

Ya know Darkmage, I was just about to put up a "where would we be without the Landfish?" posts.. hehe

Landfishy.. you''ve really done a lot here. Minds are working, brains thinking, and ego''s breaking. Ok, so the same goes for you.. but still.. You have free time like no man i''ve ever seen before. I just recently went to compare our posting stats.. and.. damn I joined 4/29/00 and have a total of 90 posts. You joined 4/20/00 and have 562 posts! 9 days difference.. and 472 posts difference. I say all of what i have to say in one long, masterfully written essay and you write a ton of short paragraph answers to everything I almost wonder if you''re incapable of considering more than one option at a time, and that''s why you make little comments hehe. I wonder if word count you''d still have more than me or not.. LOL!
Oh well, happy posting ya nut ;p

Yeah, I''m the most humble man alive! Children cower in fear as I pass, I''m so humble. The Sea Rages and the Sky storms, with my imminant humbleness. My humbleosity is surpassed by none... =)

Well, nobody can say exactly when I first developed legs and pulled myself out of the primordial ocean... but I think I recall it being about 3 million years ago. You mammals should be grateful for my original efforts, back then.

Information about the mysterious entity controlling what you know as "the Landfish" will be found at www.landfish.com when it is finished in about a week. It won''t be hard to figure out which one is me. We are hardly professional, but hey; we try to ACT like it. A little. =)
