How do u do full screen blends and fades a bit Like the screen flashes in Q2????
The only way I can think of is draw a quad over everything, surely there is a far better way than this.
Any enlightenment at all would be greatly appreciated, tnx.
Putting a screen-wide blended quad on top of everything is, IMHO, a very good way of doing just that. If you like things a little more harder, then try using the palette mapping functions (don''t remember the name). You can then assign a color for each color (sounds dumb). It is commonly used for Gamma settings effects, I think.
