If you are familiar with C++... then as far as I am concerned, this is one of the best books you can read. It tells you how to get your code up to a professional level, and discusses reusability, and efficiency of your code. Example one is hello world wrapped in a class... and it OO all the way. Another great feature is the developping of a single application (a calculator) throughout the book. beginning with a RPN command line calculator... ending with a symbolic windows based one. He details the encapsulation of windows very well too... so in my opinion, you can''t lose :D.
