Preorder, Postorder and in order would someone be kind enough to tell me when it is most suitable to use a given traversal method.

i would like to know the same thing, i can do all of them, but the only thing that i''ve seen them used in is from the book i learned about trees from. A compiler uses them to parse out equations... like a preorder gives you prefix notation, inorder gives you a normal equation, and post order gives you post fix notation.

I know i didn''t answer any of your questions, but i''m just throwing stuff out there, no one seems to know anything about it =( i was going insane trying to find out.. SO HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
