Hi, Does anyone know of a method to check whether an IDirectSurface8 object is locked or not? Thanks in advance for replies. Mosh

I never had to do this, but is seems that if a surface is locked and you try to lock it again, the second lock might return a failure code DDERR_SURFACEBUSY.

Just an idea, but I can''t confirm this!

Good luck!

Thanks for the idea, but the problem is that I keep trying to lock/unlock the surface when it is already locked/unlocked and it is giving me errors. I don''t know if this is a bad thing or not, but I''d rather keep DX happy
