After many moons of playing with (read cussing at) DirectShow trying to find a way to capture an image straight to memory without having to save it to the harddrive first, I have succeeded. Having asked about this problem 2 or 3 times and not having anyone respond with anything really helpful I thought some of you might want to see how its done so I have posted the code on my webpage. I warn you that it isn''t that pretty and that it is somewhat tailored to the purpose that I had in mind for it, but it should be helpful. If want some documentation to back it up, look at the ISampleGrabber interface in the DirectX SDK. Enjoy. http://home.mcshi.com/~kkw16
