quick question about loading texture from resource

To load a texture from a tga file (instead of a bmp) do I still specify BITMAP in the resource script? I''m using Dev-CPP & MinGW if that makes a difference (not sure if VC++ does it differently or not). Thanks .

The resource ''type'' is only relevant for Windows automated loading functions.

In your case, use custom type, and just parse it as binary data as usual.

Um...confusion . The MSDN sucks at explaining things like this. Could you post some quick sample code for defining the resource please?

[edit] Nevermind, I *think* I get it. I'd be a little more comfortable seeing a decent sample though.
