What is glLightModel...........

Recommended Posts

1. How do glLightModel and glLight relate to each other? 2. Do you need to use glDeleteTextures at the end of a program to delete textures. Some examples I've seen do this, while others don't. So which is it? I asked this question before and I got a few answers all along the lines of "You can if want". I'm looking for the correct answer, I don't want to be leaking memory unnecessarily. Thanks [edited by - Briskon on August 13, 2003 5:48:35 PM]

glLightModel is used to set parameters which are not specific to a given light, e.g. enabling 2 sided lighting, setting global ambient level.
glLight sets parameters for a given light.
