directplay won't signal if a player joined

Hi guys, I''m using direct play client serever and when a client joins the server via the connect command, the createplayer message isn''t sent out. I''m trying to figure out how to let the server know a new player has joined. ITs weird because I can transfer information by send command from client to server and vice versa but the server doesn''t get the createPlayer message like the references says its suppposed. Does anyone know a solution?
