In my program after some calls to fclose() it gives me a Unhandled exception: User breakpoint error in dbgheap.c in the following line: _ASSERTE(_CrtCheckMemory()); in the _freebuf() function. The file was opened without problem, was read and wrote to without problem and yet I get this stupid error. Any ideas what can be causing it?! Did it happen to anyone here? if ((file = fopen(strFile,"w"))==NULL)
return;

fwrite(buf,i-15,1,file);
fclose(file);

This function is being called around 15 times before crashing in fclose().
