Funky importing problems

hey guys (for those of you who remember my last post) i would just like to say thanks and i now have all of my import engine working.... except for one last thing. when i import the ASE file i use triangles to draw the meshes. when i draw regular primitives and basic models they look fine, but when i try and import meshes that have been edited (Edit Mesh function in 3D Studio) two vertices are drawn correctly and the third is drawn at the origin. i have checked the data file over, but not one vertex is at the origin. any ideas??
