how to set up to RTT for cubemap textures..

so i have a pixel buffer class made to abstract that...i want to know in order to make a cubemap for an object at the origin (0,0,0) how do i set up the perspective and viewport for rendering the rest of teh world to six square textures? i know i need to have the viewpoty set to a square the same size as the texture i want, i assume i need teh perspective set to 90 degrees, and an aspect ratio of 1:1...right?
