Guys, Please bear with me, I am new to this program (DX9). I was told to get this in order to create 2/3D graphic. So I download few of them from Microsoft.com. When completed downloading I couldn''t find any applications that I could get this to start or open directX program.. Would anyone care to explain me what I need to do to create 2/3D with directX? I mean, do I need to have some type of program to work with DirectX such as VB or VC++ let me know.

DirectX isn''t a program, it''s an API. You can use it to program graphics, but through a programming language, not as an application. So either learn C++ or find a 3D-modelling application.

DirectX gives you a set of interfaces to program 2D/3D applications. What you won''t get is a function like StartDirectX()! You''ll need a compiler like VC++ and the DirectX 9 SDK to make your applications.

Follow the tutorials and sample files in the SDK and you''ll know how to use DirectX. Then you can move on to more advanced stuff.
