dynamic cubemap textures

with teh cubemapping extension ARB_texture_cube_map i have come across the problem that if i do not make mipmaps of the cubeapping textures then they do not render properly, i tries adjusting the min and mag filters to GL_LINEAR but this didn''t seem to work... basically i just want to not be building mipmaps every frame since my textures are dynamic...
