What is important is not the overall scale, but the relative importance of the coefficients.
But if you have tried every combination, there is probably something else that is wrong.
If you still have some motivation left, you can try eliminating friction and the force (f = 0, J = 0). Amplitude should then remain equal to the initial value of x.
