Transparency Leaves box edges?

My sprites blit nicely using transparency except for a single pixel around the edge? this is a grey colour? Thought it was multisampling but i dont think this is the problem? Any ideas? Thanks Pete.

You are using bi/tri-linear filtering and your texture address mode is D3DTADDRESS_WRAP or D3DTADDRESS_BORDER, so the texels at the edge are combined with other colors...

... or you didn''t initialize your texture correctly...

... or you are using bi/tri-linear filtering and you have tiled textures into one big texture, so filtering is including colors from the other tiles...

... or something else...
