Simulating slow connection?

hehe, deja-vu. I asked almost the exact same question not too long ago. For me, I simulated lag internally by adding a random delay between reciept of a packet and processing it. However, there were other good suggestions as well. You can find them here.

Everytime I need to do this, I stick a FreeBSD firewall up between the two machines and use DUMMYNET. You can pretty accurately simulate nasty dialup, DSL to the moon, or just a busy T1 if you want to....
