After looking in the FAQ section: http://www.gamedev.net/community/forums/faq.asp I noticed a section on how to post an image but then it lacks an actual description. Can someone please tell me the tags needed for posting an image (jpg pic) imbedded into text (i.e. a screenshot that links to a bigger pic). Thanks. rhuala

In the FAQ it says that most HTML tags are supported; so that means

will give you an image

and

here will give you a link

so for the img, linking an image:

should work.

Never actually saw an image linked into the text here tho

edit: apparently it doesn't work, see post above me

edit2: apparently it DOES work, but you have to enclose it entirely within [ code ] ... [ /code ] tags

so the code given by the above posters is correct, it just has to be encased withing the tags (just thought I might confirm it, since my code has been replaced).

Admins? is this the way it is supposed to behave? or should it also work outside of the code tags?

the AP''s code is correct, but does not show up because you need to reply/post with a registered username in order for html to show up.

then how come Erzengeldeslichtes' image is not showing up, when the code is the same as mine (within the tags)?

just a test

edit: seems AP is correct. tags are not needed
