Class Person { public: int age; } Person joe = new Person; -------> do all the members of an object created on the heap automatically get created on the heap aswell? -------> For example, will joe.age be created on the stack or the heap?

should be
Person* joe = new Person;

Person joe = new Person;
wouldn''t compile

quite right you are and that is due to the fact that the new keyword returns a pointer to memory of the type following the word. :-) just thought i''d clarify.
