DirectInput vs. GetCursorPos

I was just thinking about whether to use DirectInput for mouse input, or just use GerCursorPos and GetAsyncKeyState for the buttons. I dunno, I don''t need much of anything here, just position and buttons. I know I don''t like the ''squish'' that I feel in so many fps games (counter-strike pretty much feels the best for me). Anyway, info is appreciated!

Direct Input might be faster in most cases, but for a simple game, win32 functions might work
